The "Hilly Hallacious" event went past our entrance on Hoopers Creek and is part of a large County bike system. Even our driveway of .9 of a mile is a challenge for even the best.
We are surrounded by hiking opportunities from Chimney Rock to the Dupont and Pisgah Forest. Lots of do it yourself opportunities as well as guided hikes graded from novice to expert. Backpacks, refreshments and lunches can be included.
Western NC is host to 6 different ski areas, including the largest - Sugar Mountain resort off highway 184 - with 20 slopes and 9 lifts.
Three ski resorts are less than 1 hour from the Chateau. There are also 3 Tubing Parks for family fun.
Ahhhh! So refreshing. We just soaked in the tub until we shriveled up like raisons. This room (Northern Lights) is so perfect for us. The 2-seater spa, the big shower, the candles, the fireplace and all the smelly good stuff. It was such a perfect romantic atmosphere to celebrate our anniversary.
