Located just minutes from the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and an easy drive to the world famous "Tail of the Dragon", Chateau On The Mountain is an ideal home base for touring North Carolina's many attractions. Covered parking, storage and secure areas for cleaning and maintenance make our B&B your ideal choice. (http://www.bike-stay.net)
Four local parks in Fletcher and Hendersonville offer bike trails, ideal for the entire family. There are also mountain biking opportunities for advanced cyclists in the Dupont Forest, Pisgah Forest and Nantahala National Forest.
Check out mtbikewnc.com for more information.
The "Hilly Hallacious" event went past our entrance on Hoopers Creek and is part of a large County bike system. Even our driveway of .9 of a mile is a challenge for even the best.
We are surrounded by hiking opportunities from Chimney Rock to the Dupont and Pisgah Forest. Lots of do it yourself opportunities as well as guided hikes graded from novice to expert. Backpacks, refreshments and lunches can be included.
Western NC is host to 6 different ski areas, including the largest - Sugar Mountain resort off highway 184 - with 20 slopes and 9 lifts.
Three ski resorts are less than 1 hour from the Chateau. There are also 3 Tubing Parks for family fun.

What a beautiful place. Our stay has been wonderful. The view is breathtaking. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit with our girls in your beautiful home. They live 6 minutes from here and it has made our time together so complete. Our dog Bess has been right at home and we are so thankful that you guys are animal friendly. The bed has been heavenly; breakfast was great Lee and thank you so much for allowing the girls to join us. We pray that God will bless you and your Bed and Breakfast with blessings beyond measure. Hope to visit you again soon.
