The "Hilly Hallacious" event went past our entrance on Hoopers Creek and is part of a large County bike system. Even our driveway of .9 of a mile is a challenge for even the best.
We are surrounded by hiking opportunities from Chimney Rock to the Dupont and Pisgah Forest. Lots of do it yourself opportunities as well as guided hikes graded from novice to expert. Backpacks, refreshments and lunches can be included.
Western NC is host to 6 different ski areas, including the largest - Sugar Mountain resort off highway 184 - with 20 slopes and 9 lifts.
Three ski resorts are less than 1 hour from the Chateau. There are also 3 Tubing Parks for family fun.
We have been married for 39 years and this was one of the most romantic evennings ever. We had dinner on our private balcony overlooking the valley. We drank a bottle of wine and did not watch your beautiful flat screen TV. Thank you for giving us a wonderful evenning and all the memories of it.
